Ar-Raheem International College (AIC) has emerged victorious in the Spell Africa Bee Kwara State Preliminary Qualifier held on Monday 3rd February, 2025 at Faith Academy, Ilorin. Despite only three days of preparation, AIC’s spellers delivered an outstanding performance, securing a dominant position in the competition.
Out of 65 participating secondary school students, only 24 students made it to the final round. Impressively, AIC secured 12 of these spots, making up half of the finalists. Even more remarkable, AIC had registered just 13 students for the competition, showcasing the school’s exceptional spelling prowess.

Adding to their success, AIC was the only school with a student who scored a perfect 3 out of 3 in the competition, further solidifying their status as a top contender.

With this victory, the 12 qualifying students from AIC will now advance to the final Spell Africa Bee competition in Lagos, scheduled for August 2025. This achievement highlights AIC’s commitment to academic excellence and competitive preparation, even within a short training period.

The school community is celebrating this milestone, and all eyes are now set on Lagos, where AIC’s spellers will compete for the national title.
